From 2016 to 2019 he acted as the Commercial Vice-President of the Management Board and as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Inter Balt Sp. z o.o. in Gdańsk. A member of Economic Board od Trustees at the Silesian Governor. A graduate of the Faculty od Organization and Management at the Silesian University of Technology and the Collegium of Management and Finance of the Warsaw School of Economic where he defended his doctoral dissertation on economics in 2005. Also a graduate of Companies Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and Executive MBA at the Institute of Economics at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. A member of two Post-MBA programmes: French Leadership Academy at the Institute of Management in Warsaw Strategic Management of Finances. Appointed in 2016 to the Economic Board at the Silesian Governor and a member of the Polish Scientific Marketing Association (Polskie Naukowe Towarzystwo Marketingu) in Poznań. He combines business with academic activity for many years. He gives lectures e.g. at the Faculties of Law and Administration and Social Sciences at the University of Silesia. He also collaborated with WSB University (Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu) in Poznań. He has more than 15 years of experience in being a member of management boards and supervisory boards in companies and economic organisation.
A graduate of MBA WSB at the Franklin University and the University of Opole. He has a long-lasting professional managerial experience in international corporations (Marsh, AON) on positions related to risk and insurance. He performed managerial functions in sales in a leading IT company. In 2016 he assumed the position of the Vice-President of the Management Board in Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn S.A. in Grupa Azoty S.A. he was responsible for Agro sales and scted as the Corporate Fertiliser of the Supervisory Board of PDH Polska – Polimery Police S.A. established to construct a propylene production plant in Police.
The Vice President of Finance is a graduate of the University of Economics in Katowice. He also completed postgraduate studies in financial management. He is a financier with twenty years of experience and he has fifteen years of experience in project management. Łukasz Śmigasiewicz has worked for Węglokoks since 2019. Since then he managed the Reorganization Projects Department and the Strategy and Strategic Controlling Department of the Capital Group Węglokoks S.A. Between 2006 and 2019, he worked, among other positions, as Chief Financial Officer at Fitwell sp. z o.o. and Walls&Papers sp. z o.o. He authored analyses of investment profitability and financial models for companies in the manufacturing sector. Previously, he also worked at the Marshal Office of the Silesian Voivodeship, where, among other positions, he served as the Deputy Director of the Chancellery Office of the Regional Parliament. He has many years of experience as a member of various governing bodies of companies. Among others positions, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Górnośląska Agencja Przelształceń Przedsiębiorstw S.A. (the Upper Silesian Agency for Enterprise Transformation), and since 2017 he has been a member of the Supervisory Board at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. He worked also an Expert of the Ministry of Regional Development within the framework of the Human Capital Operational Program 2007 – 2013.
The Vice President of the Capital Group graduated in law from the University of Silesia in Katowice and completed his legal training at the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors in Katowice, with the professional title of legal advisor. He has also obtained a licence to work as property manager. He has worked for the Capital Group Węglekoks since 2016. First as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and then, since 2019, as Vice-president and President of the Management Board of Huta Pokój S.A. While managing this company, he initiated and guided the restructuring process of the Huta Pokój Capital Group, succeeding in the restoration of the company’s financial liquidity, agreeing on a schedule of repayment of the company’s liabilities with its creditors, partial debt relief of the company and a significant improvement in the company’s performance. Previously, he worked for the Capital Group Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (Polish Power Networks), where he was in charge of the Management Board Office and then provided legal services. He served as a member of supervisory boards in companies: Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyczne Megawat Sp. z o.o., Rudzki Inkubator Przedsiębiorczości Sp. z o.o., Rudzka Agencja Rozwoju “Inwestor” Sp. z o.o., Stadion Śląski Sp. z o.o.
