The first patients infected with coronavirus may be admitted to the hospital erected at the premises of Pyrzowice (Katowice) Airport by Węglokoks S.A. as early as in March. 144 hospital beds, including 10 stations with ventilators, are ready to use.
– The most difficult time is ahead of us that is why we used all our reserves and organisational capacities to open temporary hospitals. Some persons asked 3-4 months ago what was the purpose of these hospitals. Unfortunately this decision was very accurate – said the Prime Minister.
– They were the weeks of hard work. We employed our forces and competences because we were aware of the importance of the task with which we were entrusted. We succeeded and I would want to sincerely thank all persons who were engaged in the erection of the hospital – said Tomasz Heryszek, the President of Węglokoks S.A.
