Sławomir Obidziński

President of the Management Board

Graduate of the Faculty of Mining and Geology at the Academy of Science and Technology in Cracow (1988). Completed post-graduate studies on Business Management at the University of Economics in Katowice (1991), and also on Banking at the University of Economics in Cracow (1995). He was granted the title of Executive MBA (2012) and Executive Doctor of Business Administration (2014) at the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.

   Experience in mining and energy industries while holding higher management posts. Has experience in developing business strategies, improving value of businesses and business integration. Participated in complex restructuring processes conducted in companies in the energy sector, has been attached since 2012 to the Węglokoks Capital Group, where, as a representative of Węglokoks Energia, he participated in consolidation of energy and heat generation assets of Kompania Węglowa and Węglokoks.

   His professional work started in Kopalnia Węgla Kamiennego “Czeczott” (1988-1991). Later, he has worked for 15 years (1992-2007) in SGS Polska sp. z o.o. (a branch of the Swiss holding SGS S.A., located in Geneva), fulfilling roles of an Office Manager, Katowice Regional Director, and finally a Mineral Industry Director. He gained more professional experience as a President of the Board in Nadwiślańska Spółka Energetyczna sp. z o.o. in Brzeszcze (2007-2014) and in Węglokoks Energia sp. z o.o. in Katowice (2014-2016). In June 2016, he accepted the post of President of the Board of Węglokoks S.A.


Tomasz Heryszek

Commercial Vice-President of the Management Board

Tomasz Heryszek has been combining a professional and academic career for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Organisation and Management at the Silesian University of Technology and the Collegium of Management and Finance of the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2005 he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Warsaw School of Economics. He took part in the Executive MBA programme at the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. For many years he has been performing functions in the management boards and supervisory boards of various companies and economic organisations. He specialises in strategic management in the manufacturing and services sector, as well as strategic analyses and research on the effectiveness of marketing and consumption tools. He was successfully responsible for Efficient Consumer Response, the creation and implementation of strategies, as well as the selling and marketing of brands in many B2B and B2C markets. An author and co-author of books, monographs and articles related to management and marketing. He has participated in many trainings and conferences on management, marketing and consumption. Associate professor at the University of Silesia and WSB University. Member of the Polish Scientific Society of Marketing in Poznań.




Krzysztof Mikuła

Capital Group Vice-President of the Management Board

Krzysztof Mikuła is an experienced manager, lawyer and member of the local government. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia in Katowice. He completed postgraduate management studies based on the MBA structure at the Warsaw School of Economics. At the beginning of his career, he was involved in local government activity. As a Member of the Polish Sejm (2005-2007) he took effective measures to hand over Silesian public benefit corporations to the local government. In 2010-2014 he performed the function of the Vice-President, and later the President of the company TBS Katowice. He worked there on the concepts of building rental apartments with the possibility of gradually acquiring the ownership, and coordinated the preparation and execution of one of the first social housing investments in Poland, financed by the issuance of bonds. From December 2014 to September 2015 he performed the function of the Deputy Mayor of Katowice, where he supervised matters related to spatial planning, architecture, construction, city development and transport. In June 2016 he became the Capital Group Vice-President in Węglokoks S.A.
